Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland

One in five people in Scotland are living with a chest, heart or stroke condition – including Long Covid. Every day people are leaving hospital scared and on their own. But you can help us change this. Thanks to you, people across Scotland will get the support they desperately need to recover after a life-changing diagnosis. You’ll be helping them do more than survive – you’ll help them really live. By raising money for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland at the Loch Ness 24, you’ll be making sure there’s #NoLifeHalfLived in Scotland for people with our conditions.

RNLI

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland

In the UK and Ireland alone, 150 people die by accident in the water each year. Half of those who drown never intend on entering the water. These are wasted lives; preventable deaths. And this needs to change. We are the charity that saves lives at sea and our volunteer crews are determined to save every one. In 2021, our volunteer lifeboat crews across Scotland launched to the rescue an average of three times per day and we’re expecting this year to be even busier. That’s why we need your support. As a charity, we need raise an average £155,000 to run just one lifeboat station in Scotland each year. With 46 lifeboat stations in Scotland, we rely on the support of our local communities to power our lifesaving service. By taking part in the Loch Ness 24 for the RNLI, you will be helping to make this possible. You will be joining our crew of lifesavers and you will be helping to save lives. Held in our hearts

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland

When your baby dies, it is an incredibly traumatic and extremely lonely time as you may struggle to find others who understand the overwhelming emotions you experience. We can be there to hold your hand and walk with you on your journey, as you start to find a way to cope with your grief. Our families are at the heart of everything that we do. All our bereavement support services are free and for as long as they are needed. We know that no one person’s grief is the same, so our support services are individualised for each family we support. You can help us by raising vital funds to support our families.  Buy a ticket for just £40 and pledge to raise £175 for this cause.

Mikeys line

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland

Mikeysline was formed in late 2015 after a spate of suicides amongst young people in the Highlands, including Michael ‘Mikey’ Williamson and his friend Martin Shaw, both aged 23 who died within days of each other. Mikeysline was set up as a grass roots charity, i.e it emerged as a response to tragedy to offer hope. Mikeysline was first set up as a text-line by Michael’s family and volunteers, since then it has grown and offers several different kinds of support for everyone across the Highlands and Moray. All funds raised, regardless of how small or large, mean the world to us and ensure the continued operation of the services we offer. Email enquiries to book a place: enquiries@mikeysline.co.uk
